Venado Construction — Outdoor Living & Remodeling

Big-project capability. Small-firm attention.

Home Additions

An addition is judged by its seams. If the roofline, brick, floor height and trim do not resolve, it reads as an add-on forever — no matter how nice the inside is.

Venado builds additions that belong with the house: primary suites, expanded living areas, second-story additions, garage conversions and enclosures, and the reconfiguration of existing rooms that usually comes with them.

Where additions get complicated

Most of the difficulty is in the connection between old and new, and in the parts nobody sees.

  • Tying new framing and roofing into the existing structure so water and loads go where they should
  • Matching masonry, siding, roofing and windows as closely as the products available allow
  • Getting floor heights and ceiling planes to line up between old and new
  • Extending HVAC, electrical and plumbing capacity, not just running new branches
  • Setbacks, lot coverage and permitting for the city the home sits in
  • Foundation work and drainage around the new footprint

Honest answers before you spend money

Not every addition is the right move. Sometimes reworking existing space gets you most of what you want for far less. Clint will tell you when that is the case, even when it means a smaller project.

Common questions

Can you match my existing brick or stone?
We get as close as the available products allow, and we are candid about where a difference will be visible. Where an exact match is not possible, there are usually design moves that make the transition read intentionally.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. Permitting requirements vary by city, and we work through the process for the municipality your home is in.
Do you provide architectural drawings?
Venado is a general contractor. When a project needs architectural or engineering documents, we tell you and coordinate with the appropriate professional.
