Big-project capability. Small-firm attention.
New Home Construction
Venado builds complete homes from the ground up. Foundation, framing, roof, mechanical systems, cabinetry, tile, trim and paint — one contractor carrying the project from the first stake in the ground to the final walkthrough.
The same person who prices your home runs it. Clint Hart has been building in North Texas since 1999, and on a new build that continuity is what keeps the details consistent across a year of work and dozens of trades.

What a new build with Venado includes
Scope varies with the lot and the plan, but a ground-up home with Venado generally covers the following.
- Site preparation, utilities and foundation
- Framing, roofing, windows, doors and exterior finishes
- Electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough-in through trim-out
- Custom kitchens, pantries, built-ins and cabinetry
- Primary and secondary bathrooms, tile and stone work
- Interior carpentry — vaulted and beamed ceilings, barn doors, trim packages
- Outdoor living built as part of the house rather than added later
Design coordination without the runaround
We work alongside your architect and designer, or help you find one. Either way, decisions get sequenced so selections arrive before the trades need them — which is what actually keeps a new build on schedule.
Where the plan and the field disagree, you hear about it early with options and real numbers, not after the fact.
Finishes that hold up
A new home is judged on its details: how the cabinetry lines up, whether the ceiling planes resolve, how the tile meets the trim. Those are field decisions made by craftsmen who have worked together for years.
The photographs in our new-build gallery are ordinary Venado work — not a showcase house.
Common questions
- Do you build on my lot or provide land?
- We build on your lot. If you are still looking, Clint can walk a property with you and talk through what it will take to build on it before you buy.
- Do I need plans before calling?
- No. Many clients start with a rough idea and a lot. We can look at what you have and help you get to a plan that is buildable within your budget.
- How long does a custom home take?
- Most homes run roughly nine to fifteen months from permit to completion, depending on size, site conditions, selections and inspection timelines. You get a realistic schedule in writing with your proposal.
- Where do you build?
- Colleyville, Southlake, Westlake, Grapevine, Keller, North Richland Hills and the surrounding Dallas–Fort Worth communities.
