Venado Construction — Outdoor Living & Remodeling

Big-project capability. Small-firm attention.

Kitchen Remodeling

A kitchen is the most trade-dense room in a house. Cabinetry, counters, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, flooring, tile and paint all have to land in sequence, and the room has to be out of service for as little time as possible.

Venado takes kitchens of different sizes — a focused update to one room is welcome work, not a lesser project.

What usually changes

  • Layout changes, including removing or shortening walls to open the kitchen to living space
  • Cabinetry, islands and built-in storage
  • Countertops, backsplash and tile
  • Appliance planning, gas and electrical requirements, and real ventilation
  • Plumbing relocation for sinks and pot fillers
  • Lighting design — task, ambient and the switching to control it

When a wall is involved

Opening a kitchen to the rest of the house is the most common request, and it is where a remodel turns structural. Beams, posts and load paths have to be handled correctly, and the ceiling has to look intentional afterward.

That is routine work here, and it is where an experienced contractor earns the fee.

Common questions

Is my kitchen too small a project for Venado?
No. Venado works on projects of different sizes, and a single well-executed kitchen is a normal project for us.
How long will we be without a kitchen?
It depends on scope and material lead times, especially cabinetry. We give you a realistic window after the scope is set, and we plan a temporary setup so the household can function.
Do you work with a designer?
Many clients bring their own designer or select finishes with cabinet and stone suppliers. Venado coordinates with whoever you are working with; we do not present ourselves as an in-house design firm.
